Aptos Little League - Post Season Overview

Tournament of Champions
The Tournament of Champions (TOC) teams are the Division winners of the playoffs. Aptos Little League fields two TOC teams – the Majors Division winner and the AAA Division winner. These teams play in a double-elimination tournament against the winners of other local leagues in District 39. Since every team in Majors and AAA makes the playoffs, every team has a chance to go to the TOC.


All Stars/Tournament Teams
Aptos Little League (ALL) will field one team in each of the following divisions:

• 12/11 year old (Sanctioned All-Star Team)
• 11/10 year old (Sanctioned All-Star Team)
• 10/9 year old (Sanctioned All-Star Team)
• 9/8 year old (Non-Sanctioned Tournament Team) - Will not be held this year 
• 8/7 year old (Non-Sanctioned Tournament Team) - Will not be held this year 

The All Star Season is separate from the regular season. Beyond regular season play, the season offers an opportunity for selected players to gain valuable practice and game experience, facilitates unique skill development opportunities, and provides higher level competition.

It’s important for parents to be reminded that participating in Tournament Play is a choice, and that while it is a privilege to play, it is also a commitment with added practices and games. If you realize that your player has several conflicts, it may be a wise decision to pass on a tournament selection, and allow another player to share in the experience.
