Aptos Little League Snack Shack

Hello Aptos Little League Families,

Welcome to the 2026 baseball season!

Concessions is one of the primary ways the league raises money to support our players. With your help, we can make this season a success.

Let’s work together to keep the shack open and the coffee brewing for our community!

Important Volunteer Requirements: Please note that everyone who volunteers in concessions or anywhere within Aptos Little League MUST fill out the official volunteer form. This is a mandatory safety requirement for all our volunteers.

How Concessions Will Work This Year: This season, games for AAA and Majors will be held at the Junior High fields. To keep the windows open for our kiddos, we have implemented the following guidelines:

  • The "Two-Person" Rule: We need at least two volunteers for every game block. If we do not have at least two people, concessions will unfortunately have to remain closed. If a team fails to field volunteers games may also be impacted as well.

  • Home Team Responsibility: Since two divisions are playing simultaneously, one volunteer is required from EACH Majors and AAA Home Team to staff the shack together.

  • Open/Close: To make things as easy as possible for the home teams, someone from the snack shack management group will always be there to handle the opening and closing of the booth.

Safety & Age Requirements: To ensure a safe environment for everyone, please keep the following rules in mind:

  • Minimum Age: The minimum age to work in concessions is 14.

  • Adult Supervision: No one under the age of 18 can work in concessions alone; they must have adult supervision present at all times (this can include an adult from the other home team).

  • No Small Children: For safety reasons, small children are not allowed inside the snack shack. It is a physical hazard, and we want to keep everyone out of harm's way.

Our goal this year is to make volunteering as seamless and rewarding as possible. Managers, please coordinate with your families to ensure these slots are covered. Families from other divisions are also more than welcome to help!

As a token of our appreciation, any volunteer working a shift in the Snack Shack will receive a complimentary meal and drink.

See you at the fields!

To comply with California, Assembly Bill 506 (AB 506):

All administrators, employees, and regular volunteers who work directly with children must undergo a California DOJ Live Scan fingerprint background check. A name based only background check doesn’t satisfy the required mandate. A “regular volunteer” is someone who has more than 16 hours a month of contact with children, or 32 hours per year, including overnight events. If your volunteers meet that threshold, they must be fingerprinted and trained under AB 506.

*Individuals that are not "regular volunteers" (volunteering with Aptos Little League less than 16 hours per month)  will still need to fill out the volunteer application here and complete the JDP background check.
