Yes. Aptos Little League relies on family volunteers. Each family is expected to have at least one volunteer each season to help in the snack shack, score booth, field prep, team parent roles, or coaching.
Do all volunteers need a background check?
Yes. For the safety of our players, all volunteers are required to complete the official Little League Volunteer Application and background check each year before participating, regardless of their role.
When should the volunteer application be completed?
Please complete the volunteer background check process when registering your child to ensure a smooth start to the season. More information about volunteering for the 2026 Season here.

What equipment does my player need?
Players should have their own glove, helmet, and bat that meets the USA Baseball (USABat) standard. The league provides team jerseys and hats.

All bats must display the USA Baseball logo. Bats with only the USSSA standard are not allowed. More information here.
