2026 Season

Dear Aptos Little League Families and Players,

As Aptos Little League prepares for the upcoming Spring season, the League reaffirms its foundational commitment to providing a safe, disciplined, and positive environment for every child entrusted to our program. This commitment is not aspirational. It is operational, and it is upheld by the quality, integrity, and engagement of our volunteer leadership across all divisions.

Accordingly, Aptos Little League is issuing a league-wide call for volunteers and coaching applicants for all levels of play, including Tee Ball, Farm, Single A, Double A, AAA, and Majors. The continued success and credibility of our League depends upon active parental and community involvement. Participation is not merely encouraged. It is essential.

Serving as a Manager or Coach within Aptos Little League is both an honor and a responsibility. These positions are reserved for individuals who demonstrate sound judgment, personal integrity, respect for the game, and a clear understanding that youth sports are fundamentally about character development, accountability, and community stewardship. Athletic experience, while welcomed, is secondary to leadership, temperament, and a commitment to modeling exemplary conduct.

Parents and guardians who wish to make a meaningful and lasting impact on our players and our community are invited to apply by completing the following three-step process.

Step One
Prospective Managers, Assistant Coaches, and on-field volunteers are asked to submit an email titled “Request to Coach Aptos Little League” describing their interest and qualifications. Please address the following items in your submission.

What prior coaching experience you have in any sport, if applicable
Your personal coaching philosophy
What you hope players gain from the season beyond wins and losses
The best telephone number at which you may be reached
If you are not selected to Manage, would you be interested in being an Assistant Coach

Submissions should be sent to[email protected]. Early applications are strongly encouraged.

Step Two
All prospective volunteers must complete the official online Volunteer Application, including the required background check. This application is available on the Aptos Little League website under the Get Involved- Volunteer section.

Step Three
After completing the Volunteer Application, please email [email protected]to confirm completion. Applications will be reviewed by the appropriate League committee, and applicants will be notified regarding next steps.

Individuals selected to serve in any coaching or volunteer capacity will also be required to complete the following mandatory certifications:

USA Baseball Abuse Awareness for Adults
HEADS UP to Youth Sports Concussion Training for Coaches
Little League International Coaching Requirements & Background Check

Aptos Little League cannot fulfill its mission without committed adults who are willing to lead with integrity, consistency, and professionalism. We appreciate, in advance, the time, care, and dedication required to serve our players and our community at the highest level.

Respectfully,

Aptos Little League
